Cancellation Policy

Sometimes things don’t always go to plan, and from time to time my clients may need to cancel an appointment due to illness, other commitments, or from balancing life’s many priorities. Children get sick, commitments change, and certain weeks are more hectic than others.

When an appointment needs to be cancelled, I appreciate more than 48 hours’ notice whenever possible. This helps make my services as equitable as possible and gives me the best opportunity to offer that appointment time to another client or family on my waiting list. Having a cancellation policy like this also helps me maintain a sustainable, client-centred practice.

For these reasons, the following Cancellation Policy applies:

  • Cancellations made with more than 48 hours’ notice will not incur a fee;
  • Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice (including cancellations made on the morning of a service) will be attempted to be rescheduled. If the appointment time is not able to be rescheduled, I reserve the right to charge 100% of the total session fee;
  • Non-attendance at scheduled appointments (including non-attendance at school-based therapy sessions) will incur a cancellation fee of 100% of the total session fee (including any travel costs incurred).

Please note that I offer Telehealth appointments via videocall (where appropriate and possible) as an alternative to face-to-face therapy sessions. This provides an opportunity for my clients or families to continue their current treatment goals in a safe, flexible way from home. Please contact me if you would like more information about Telehealth options. Please also note that this Cancellation Policy applies to both face-to-face and Telehealth appointments.
